Merseyrail Starts its Journey to Electric

Merseyrail’s pans to go electric look like they may be back on track after delays caused by coronavirus restrictions put a halt to construction and delivery of the new electric trains with which the local rail operator plans to replace its existing 40-year-old stock. Originally due to enter service in the autumn, the new electric trains have been spotted in tests, and tweeted by Liverpool City Region Combined Authority. For more information, read here.
